Bengan ka Raita or Bengan ka bhahrta
Ingredients
Dahi/Yogurt 1 cup
Cumin powder (zeera) a pinch
Salt 1/2 tbsp
Cumin powder (zeera) a pinch
Salt 1/2 tbsp
Black Pepper 1tbsp
Bengan or brinjal 1
Green chilli paste 1 tbsp
Onion (mashed) 1
Oil for
greasing bengan
Mint leaves or fresh coriander for
garnishing
Method
Grease brinjal with oil and cut 2-3 holes with a knife. Roast on a stove
directly until cooked well. When it cools, remove the outer layer and mash it
then strike curd and Mix it with bengan along with green chilli paste, mashed
onion,salt and cumin powder. Garnish with mint leaves or fresh coriander
